Obelisk and tomb of Red Army solders who save Simbirsk in 1918, Pogreby, Ulyanovsk, Russia

In summer 1918 White Army's forces occupied Simbirsk and several other cities. In September 12 Zheleznaya division, whitch was headed by Gay Dmitrievich Gay liberated Simbirsk city from enemies. A lot of monuments devoted to this event appeared in Ulyanovsk region. In the settlement Pogreby apart tomb of Red Army solders obelisk was built.

Obelisk consists of seven steles. There are three stars on the tallest steles. The height of obelisk is about 10 meters.

In the middle of the square there is brotherly tomb of  Red Army solders with monument. On the monument we can see the sight in which is written the following "To Cevil War's solders who dead liberating Simbirsk of White Army's forses in 1918" .

This monument is located in the territory of gardening company Berezka.
